Once you learn how to sell options with discipline, rental properties start to look a lot less attractive. Most people still see real estate as the safest path to passive income. But look at the math on a typical rental. - $300k home. - $60k down payment. - $0-$400 a month in cash flow at today’s rates. Now take that same $60k and sell cash secured puts or covered calls instead. A conservative 2% monthly return on $60k comes out to about $1,200 a month. No mortgage, no tenants calling at midnight, no surprise roof repairs, and no debt hanging over your head. The risk does not disappear, but it’s a lot less stressful in my opinion. You trade leverage and landlord liability for market risk. It’s up to you to decide which fits your personality and investing strategy best. If you are a FinX creator with a large following and have a net worth of $10m+, I have a few questions for you because I’m genuinely curious: 1. Why do you not show proof of any of your trades? a) If you do show proof, why don’t you show proof of big trades, not ones that are supposedly 0.0001% of your net worth? 2. Why do you do paid promotions? If you are truly worth $10m+, you shouldn’t need to do paid promotions, especially if you’re as good as you say you are at trading. a) I’m not against paid promotions, I do some myself, but what I don’t understand is creators who are supposedly worth exorbitant amounts of money and are supposedly the best “investors”, doing paid promotions. It doesn’t add up. 3. Why do you post your net worth in your bio? Is it a way to amass a following because people see that large net worth and immediately associate it to trading expertise? a) There’s exceptions to this in my opinion. There’s extremely knowledgeable investors like @DeepValueBagger who actually put their money where their mouth is and can back up their net worth with constant alpha. For me, the biggest sign that a FinX creator is potentially a scam, is when they never show proof of the trades they are supposedly making and profiting big on. Talk is cheap. Prove to us you are who you say you are.frozen9d ago39K2134534120.73%

Not all Pokemon cards are created equal. Most people think buying packs or chasing the newest set is how you make money in this hobby. In my eyes the real money is in the opposite direction. Buy vintage cards that are no longer being printed. Every year that passes, more of them get damaged, lost, or thrown out. Supply only goes down. Make sure they are graded. That means a company like PSA has inspected the card, given it a score from 1 to 10, and sealed it in a slab with a cert. You know exactly what you own and so does the next buyer. Then look for low population. That is the number of copies PSA has ever graded at each score. Low pop means scarcity you can actually verify. The e-Reader era is a good example. Expedition, Aquapolis, Skyridge…small print runs to begin with. The cards had a dot code strip on the edge that got dragged through the Nintendo e-Reader, so most of them picked up wear before anyone thought about condition. And back then almost nobody was sleeving, let alone grading. So finding these in PSA 10, 9, 8, even 7 condition today is close to impossible, and the pop reports show it. Scarce, verified, and getting scarcer. That is the whole thesis. I personally go for PSA 10 reverse foil / reverse holo eReaders. They have 10-25x in value in the past 1.5 years… Will there be a correction soon? Maybe. But do I believe this has become the new art market? Absolutely. Not financial advice. Do your own research.frozen23d ago33K1003192590.56%

Ya’ll really needed Elon Musk to remind you that there’s massive demand for compute? Really? Guys, AI is the most advanced technology humans have ever created. Our brains aren’t even capable of imagining how different the future will look like 2 years from now… Stop panicking. Find great companies in the AI space, understand their business model inside and out, try to envision what the demand for their goods or services will look like as AI use cases continue to grow…and chill. It’s that easy, truly. Now, the next few years will be volatile. Like insanely volatile…as we’ve seen this past year. So take some time to think hard whether you’re ready to stomach this volatility. I personally am trying to build up cash because I have gotten decent at selling options, so I prefer to do that over holding all high beta stocks. But to each their own. Rental properties are stressful, and that stress is a cost you can't put a dollar value on. In my experience, they have taken years off my life. My health took a hit, and there were times it kept me from being fully present with my family. Yes, you can hire a property manager, but you will still get pulled in to approve repairs, deal with legal issues, make tenant turnover decisions, and settle rent disputes. And no matter who manages it, the liability risk always stays with you. Nothing about owning rentals is truly passive. On top of that, the cash flow is usually minimal, especially with today's mortgage rates and home prices. If you're thinking about buying rental properties, go in prepared and make sure you fully understand what you're signing up for. Choose wisely. Not financial advice. Do your own research.frozen21d ago24K24616592521.59%

$META is having its iPhone moment. The market still looks at Meta as a social media company that is spending way too much on AI. I think the market has been historically focused on their CapEx number and completely missed what the money was actually building. The iPhone mattered because it took the internet, the camera and the phone and put them into one device that stayed with you all day. Meta is trying to do the same thing with AI, and they are one of the only companies that actually has all the pieces. The way I see it, the future most likely looks like a world where you just talk to your AI and it goes and does the work for you. It books the trip, answers the email, runs the errands and keeps your life organized. That is exactly what Muse is. It is a personal assistant that can shop, book travel, schedule appointments and send emails on your behalf. You can use it through its own app on iOS, Android and the web, or just message it inside WhatsApp like you would a friend. The Ray-Ban glasses are next, which means it will eventually see what you see and act on it in real time. Muse will eventually sit on top of everything Meta already owns, and that is where I think this gets super interesting. Now think about what each piece gives Meta. The glasses show them what people see throughout the day. Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Threads show them how people talk and interact with each other. Muse shows them what people want done, how they make decisions and how they plan their lives. What we see, how we interact and how we think. In my opinion that is the closest thing to a full loop of human intelligence that any company owns today. Other companies have one or two of those. I cannot name another company that has all three at this scale. That is why I think humanoid robots are the logical next step. A robot working in your home needs to understand what it sees, how people behave around it and what you actually want from it. That is the exact data Meta is collecting right now. As I have said since day one, I truly believe Meta will one day power the brains of humanoid robots. The next decade is about to be unreal…frozen28d ago19K110280180.74%

Pokemon cards are better investments than stocks. Hear me out… If you put $100 into Pokemon cards in 2004 instead of the S&P 500, you'd have about $5,300 today instead of $1,080. That's around 19% a year vs 11% a year. I talked about Pokemon a lot last year and it has only gotten bigger since, so here is how I see it. It all comes down to supply and demand. The fewer copies of a card that exist and the more people who want it, the higher the price goes. That is the whole Pokemon economy. On the demand side you have three things happening at once. Millennials were there at the start of Pokemon, and now they are in their peak earning years spending real money on the cards they grew up with, partly as an investment and partly for the nostalgia. Those same millennials are having kids, and Pokemon is just as big with their kids today, so parents and children are collecting side by side. And TikTok and social media have turned Pokemon into a global content machine, with creators, athletes, celebrities, and rappers all pulling new people into the hobby. You can see it on the chart. The biggest leg up came in 2020 and 2021, right when all of that hit at the same time. Now the part people leave out… The index tracks graded cards that actually traded, so it's measuring the winners, not the packs sitting in your closet. It also gave back a big chunk of its gains in 2022 and 2023, so this is not a straight line up. Comparing a curated index of winners to an index of everything isn't exactly apples to apples. But that is exactly why I think vintage and high grade is where the opportunity is. Modern sets are printed in massive quantities, so supply will always be much higher than it was for the older sets. In my eyes eReader era cards could become some of the most sought after cards in the world. They had some of the lowest print runs in Pokemon history, and they were made to be swiped through the Nintendo eReader, so a huge number of them got scratched, bent, or damaged along the way. Low print runs plus heavy damage means very few clean, high grade copies exist today. The market thinks Pokemon beating the S&P is a meme stat. In my opinion the real story is that scarce vintage cards are turning into a legit collectible asset class, and the supply on the best ones is only getting tighter. This is why I think Pokemon cards are a great investment. Not financial advice. Do your own research.frozen27d ago14K41213280.47%

Pattern recognition is the most underrated skill. If you can spot patterns early, before most people notice them, you have a massive advantage in life. That applies to investing, but it also applies to how you prepare, how you plan and how you execute on anything. The people who do extremely well are usually not predicting the future, they are more so just reading the present more clearly than the average person. So pay attention to what is happening around you. When you notice a pattern, ask what the second and third order effects might be. Then make decisions based on that. Pretty crazy that @Sandeman52 blocked me. For someone who preaches resilience and a strong mindset, it's embarrassing that a few logical questions about his backstory were enough for him to hit block. But since that's his approach, I'll say it plainly here. Not once has he shown a trade, his holdings, or any proof that he actually turned $30k into $17m. In my opinion, that story deserves a lot more skepticism than it gets. I had already started questioning it, but his recent post shouting out @TheLongInvest was the final straw for me. It read like a paid promo, and I don't think I'm the only one in FinX who lost respect for him because of it. Also, why would someone worth $17m need to be doing paid promos? If you're going to publicly claim a $17m net worth, you should be willing to back it up with proof. Simple as that.7d ago6.5K86132151.93%
