Anthropic's IPO is going to be a wild ride. I imagine it won't be that much different than SpaceX. Where it pops initially, and then spends a month or two doing real price discovery. I updated my AI workstation build recently to have one slot space between each RTX 6000 Pro MaxQ. I did this because even though these cards were marketed as being able to run stacked, I found temperatures of the middle two would consistently get to 85-90C at peak load. Even when capping wattage at 250w. This new configuration has peak temperatures at 63C. Night and day difference. While some will argue that these cards are built to withstand higher temperatures, I would counter by saying that the MaxQ GPUs use the exact same GPU and VRAM as the other RTX 6000s, and the higher your temperatures, the shorter your usable lifespan becomes after about 75-80C (depending on GPU). Very happy with the new setup. Time to get back to work. 😎frozen27d ago19K1208264411.05%
Morgan Stanley is cutting $AMD's GPU demand forecast by 43.3%, from 14.1M to 8M units. The forecast spans from 2026 through 2030 and was just released a few days ago. What an insane weekend! Some random crypto coins based on memes and X accounts come out from "GetPaid". A bunch of large accounts start pumping their own coins after seeing large payouts to others. You probably saw talk of being "financially DDoS'd" or people posting pictures of payouts or their coin's performance. That created even more FOMO. The nonsense took on a fever pitch. It was everywhere. Group chats were buzzing about it. Then reality hit. As it often does, with a brutal hangover. Every single one of these coins I've looked at since their euphoric heights yesterday has been rugpulled and hard. Many down over 90%. And apparently the GetPaid company stopped paying out fees. Many who promoted these same meme coins which got their followers rugged may not even see a penny from it. But the reputational cost is incalcuable. Lesson? Don't get involved with shady crypto stuff like this. Most meme coins are a zero and the last thing we should ever do is rugpull our own followers.frozen25d ago15K4279330.42%

People keep underestimating the power of AI to increase productivity. Here's one example. SeatGeek built 132 automations in just 8 weeks on Serval. Meanwhile, a ServiceNow implementation can take months to years for a single automation: > 7,000 tickets a year, each one entered by hand, field by field > 50% of IT requests automated in 60 days, zero layoffs That model sells implementation. Contractor fees, long rollouts, with value arriving after the invoices clear. In contrast, Serval generates code-based workflows from plain-language descriptions, reviewed and published by admins, so the bottleneck moves from building to reviewing. Right where it should be. The IT team moved out of the ticket queue and into the business units as forward-deployed engineers, and hiring this year is already ahead of all last year. Nobody lost their job. Instead AI created opportunities to focus on more meaningful work. This while the implementation was much faster than the old way of doing business. 🦾23d ago14K24141130.31%

Anthropic is trending. Meaning it'sa good time to remind you that the company pirated the collective knowledge of humanity to profit off of it. They spread sensationalism about AI security, talking badly about open models when their own models are regularly a source of misbehavior. And now they want to slow down their competition by creating regulation meant to favor big AI companies over everyone else. Telling us all smugly that they know best as they try to ram a bill through Congress. They are inherently a problematic company and they do not deserve our trust. Fight back against the Anthropic narratives. They are meant to create regulatory capture. If they get that, AI becomes more expensive, less accessible and only the richest and most powerful have access to the best versions of it. That's a nightmare future. We deserve better than that.4d ago12K9818112121.19%
I remain more concerned about the mistakes that humans can make at scale than what is going to happen with AI. I think we've proven as a species that we often allow the least capable to lead us, often into disaster, and that's the biggest risk that we face. The frontier labs are just fear mongering in an attempt to capture regulations in such a way that it creates a barrier against competition catching up. Ultimately technological progress always poses risks, and those risks should be accounted and planned for, but we have to be sincere about identifying those risks and also what measures should be taken to mitigate them. Of yet the frontier labs are spoonfeeding the media and our politicians a load of sensationalistic hyperbole. Exaggerating these 'escapes' in scope to try to claim that both "all AI must be controlled with slowed progress and careful supervision" and also "we are some of the few companies you can trust with such advanced AI". This while those very same labs never had appropriate safeguards in place, and that's exactly why these so-called escapes happened. Meaning we're supposed to trust the folks who were out to lunch with the most advanced AI technology, and stifle the progress of other labs that may ultimately prove to have worthwhile approaches to explore. To me this all seems like the classic oligopoly playbook. These companies know they don't have any sort of durable moat. That competition will catch up, so instead of innovating they want to slow everyone else down. That will ultimately hurt the US the most in the race towards superintelligence. Nobody else is slowing down and neither are the frontier labs calling for it. Which means that the greatest risk right now is once again in the hands of humans.frozen25d ago12K3035310.35%

Anthropic is throwing more fear porn at the wall, hoping something will stick. This time Dario's cracked cult of Affective Doomerism loyalists cultivated a narrative about GLM-5.3. They claim the model lacks sufficient guardrails to prevent it from building end-to-end cyber exploits. Not only is this on its face untrue and easily disproven, but for Anthropic to lecture on cybersecurity is hilariously hypocritical. This is the same company that staged a "sandbox escape", writing about it to try to cultivate regulatory capture. When in reality there was no restriction on Internet access for the supposed sandbox used in their testing. This is INSANE. Odyssey trained a world model on Diablo II captures. The result is playable, and there's no game engine under the hood. It's all driven by their model. 🤯 > 4 humans + 16 AI agents, one shared world > every frame generated live Everyone's actions land in the same world state, and each player gets their own view of it, generated in real time at the same resolution Diablo II shipped with in 2000. The opponents are RL agents that hunt, path around obstacles, and recover when they get stuck. The demo is a deathmatch. Underneath it are robot fleets, drone swarms, and defensive cyber agents learning to deal with each other in shared simulations before they touch real systems. Odyssey cites recent reports of AI-powered cyberattacks and agents colluding as the reason the research can't wait. Agora-1 shipped in May. $310M raised in June at a $1.45B valuation, with Amazon and AMD Ventures in the round. Odyssey-3 nine days ago, a model that drives cars and pilots drones. It was such an absurd narrative that I was genuinely surprised anyone bought it at face value. Of course we need to monitor what experimental models and harnesses are doing. We also need to properly contain them. These are both things that frontier labs have *not* been reliably doing. Then they leverage the so-called escapes to generate sensationalistic headlines. Those headlines are used to cultivate a "pacing" pro-regulation for everyone else narrative. But why do we need more regulation when existing laws aren't being used to punish these labs for their own computer crimes?23d ago8.9K3013120.42%

Did you know that Nvidia’s best GPUs hold only 8 memory chip stacks each? The tiny electrical wires that connect them can’t reach farther without degrading performance. That's a limitation of conventional circuitry that we have to tackle in order to speed up AI. > Volantis raised $88M to replace those wires with laser light. > Light ends the reach problem, and the design targets 220 memory chips around one GPU. 🤯 The tiny lasers sound exotic, but they already power Face ID on iPhones. Why are yields rising around the world? Ask yourself, at what rate would you lend the government money for a decade or more? There's your answer. The world's debt investors are asking for higher term premiums (or the difference between rates on short vs long duration debt) because they are concerned about increasing risks, like depreciating currency values in the future. Which makes sense. A lot of the same governments seeing their long-end rates blow out are the ones spending irresponsibly.frozen21d ago8.5K4177260.74%

This is wild! The lines are increasingly blurring between what we think is real and what we believe is AI. Here's another example of that which just played out. @Tavus gave me early access to Griffin. It's the first human interaction model and the first AI to pass the Turing test. Their study is the best part: > 45% of the 120 people thought the AI was a real person > 28% of a control group thought a real person was an AI Griffin is capable enough to have almost half of participants think it's a real person they are talking to on video. NVIDIA’s independent Video Full-Duplex Benchmark ranks it first of every Gemini, OpenAI, and open-source model evaluated, and just a tenth of a point behind a real human. We're crossing a key threshold now into a world where synthetic personas are increasingly indistinguishable from real people. https://t.co/mAisrz0tdq21d ago8.5K1023150.25%
AI agents were supposed to book your dinner, buy your shoes and move your money. In the last few weeks many websites started saying no. The @verge cataloged the rising wall over the weekend: > JPMorgan and Schwab: agents can’t touch accounts > Delta: can’t book tickets > Yelp: can’t get in without paying for data > Amazon: blocks Meta’s Muse, reportedly Grok and Dots too The reasons aren’t technical. Amazon sells ads against human attention, and an agent has none to give. Banks can’t tell an agent logged in as you from a fraudster logged in as you. So they default to "no". The fix isn’t a better model. It’s a deal. @Meta skipped the fight and partnered with @Walmart, @Gap, @Sephora and @BestBuy. @Cloudflare and @Fastly sell the tech that allows agents to be given admission at a cost or blocked entirely. Detection is not 100% reliable, but it's improving. Will the future of agentic commerce and finance be forged through partnerships rather than the open web? It's starting to seem that way.3d ago8.5K36415240.72%

The hard part of the alternative-chip market was never the chips. It was the balance sheet. General Compute just announced a multi-year agreement with Cerebras to deploy wafer-scale inference. It’s the first deployment drawn against the $400M debt facility from Upper90, and that facility might be the first deal to put inference chips up as collateral instead of GPUs. Every other neocloud buys NVIDIA, because NVIDIA underwrites the purchases. Alternative accelerators had no equivalent channel to get financed, deployed, and in front of customers at scale. Debt for alternative chips just went from a thesis to a signed contract. Agentic coding is the first workload on the new capacity, where hundreds of sequential calls per task turn decode speed into wall-clock time. Capacity opens in Q1 2027. So which chip gets financed next? 🤔23d ago8.4K824020.19%

This is insane. Imagine fully synthetic AI characters generated in real-time. We're crossing that threshold right now. 👀 Vivix’s character is generated live, full-body, and you can interrupt it mid-motion. The numbers behind it: > Sub-0.6s to the first frame, sub-1.7s end-to-end, on one consumer GPU > Under $1 an hour to run, per their tests There’s no pipeline under the hood. Most AI characters are exactly that: speech recognition, a language model, a voice, then animation on a fixed frame. Vivix-A1 is instead one native model generating audio and video together in streaming segments, so new input lands mid-generation instead of waiting for a clip. The hard part was running ~30B active parameters live: two diffusion steps where video models typically need four to eight, trained for 4-bit inference, 10,000+ video tokens per second on a single card. Founded in January 2025. A1 shipped in July 2026. Five funding rounds in year one, $1.32B valuation, IDG and Sequoia China at seed, https://t.co/8LX6MDbZzW and Alibaba by the A round. In their own comparison table, Vivix-A1 is the only column checked on all six dimensions of real-time interaction. AI video stopped being something you wait for. It’s now something you can actually talk to. https://t.co/qyTtSOu1ZUfrozen22d ago8.3K16240100.38%

Life will provide you with more opportunities than you can imagine. One of the most important disciplines to learn is weighing them against each other. Expressing gratitude is an extremely important part of balancing out your ambitions with what you already have. I'm incredibly grateful for all that I have. Sometimes I wake up wondering if any of this is actually real. I grew up with a fear of poverty and of debt. It compelled me to study hard, work harder and save far more than I spend. It's a mindset to be able to live under one's means in an extremely materialistic society. But it's also incredibly liberating. It also affords us so many more opportunities. > Time: you'll have more of it as financial security increases. > Stability: maximized because you aren't chasing what everyone else is doing, you're focused on your own goals and values. > Investments: you'll be able to make more because you have a nestegg from sensible spending. > Psychology: when you aren't struggling, your entire mindset changes to be much more focused on the future rather than living day by day. > Learning: it's never been easier to pick up new skills, and with time on your side and the right mindset, it's much more likely you'll be able to focus. All of which I am grateful for. I write this to inspire you to consider what steps you might be able to take to reduce your burdens and increase your opportunities. Life is short and we spend far too much of it worrying about stuff that doesn't matter. Trying to impress people by spending money one doesn't have on things one doesn't need is a recipe for failure. It's also self-defeating to derive one's value from what one has. Value should instead be derived from within. If you embark upon this path, you'll find it far more rewarding than participating in the latest consumer trends. Interestingly enough it's more likely you'll stop caring about them too much and live a more fulfilling life prioritizing on investing in yourself and your future.18d ago8.3K5145270.83%

So he handed it to Claude, which churned out the code, the tests and the first draft of the write-up. Torvalds ran the benchmarks: 23x better. The bug is a page-cache bottleneck. The lack of standardization across data formatting choices. > You can have one customer that chooses to store a renewal date in a standard object. > Another that uses a custom field. > And yet another that uses a linked custom object. That burns so much time for engineering teams. I know because I've been there myself working through issues like these. The solution? Ampersand. The company just raised a $15M Series A led by Bessemer Venture Partners to build integration infrastructure for enterprise agents: customer-specific config, with auth, retries, and backfills handled by the runtime. We are at an inflection point. Society now needs to decide how AI moves forward from here. > Star Trek future: utopian abundance. most diseases cured. no hunger or poverty. technology enabling one person to do the work of 5-10. wide uplift of society as technology is available for just about anyone to use and is not gatekept or monopolized. > Star Wars future: dystopian K-shaped extreme. the richest of the richest technoligarchs horde the planet's wealth, resources and control the governments. everyone else is left to fight over very small scraps. massive unemployment. depression for the bottom 80-90%. mercantile and desolate. One of the problems I run into a lot in synthetic data sets is the assumption of low to no friction. But that doesn't match the real world. Things can get messy, they can be complicated and there can be a lot of unexpected outcomes. Agents trained on these data sets are much more prone to catastrophic failure. They don't know what they don't know! That's why training on rich data, based off of the real world, makes a big difference. Era is optimized for exactly that. Ensuring that agents are better prepared for the unexpected.17d ago7.3K303020.11%
Most of what we pay for everyday products is markup. That markup has made our cost of living much more expensive as corporations are reporting record profits. Aonic estimates $5.91 of product inside a $46.86 box of 30 Liquid I.V. sticks on Amazon. The brand, the distributor and the retailer take the rest and we pay the bill. Aonic Race: $9.35 for 30 sticks, 80% less. 👀 The AI boom added about $33 trillion to the S&P 500, but it hasn’t lowered the grocery bill. Problem: Your agent can write the code, but it can’t create an API account. 😵‍💫 APIs only ever exposed what integrations needed, so creating an account and changing settings stayed in the UI. When an agent hits one of those walls, you go do it. That creates friction. > About 72% of ReadMe’s docs traffic is already from agents > Failed responses include the fix steps and a doc link Restless, from the team behind ReadMe, makes your API self-improving. We're back to rising oil, rising yields and pressure on stocks. Yesterday's auction didn't give us an all-clear because the demand that so many called strong was at the highest yield for a 10-year auction since November of 2000. There's no reason to run entire workloads on closed APIs where the results vary day by day. You can use local models for more consistent, faster performance w/o the constant anxiety of running out of tokens or wondering if it is working properly. The frontier class closed API models can be used for orchestration, lowering usage while helping amplify the quality of local outcomes. That's where I think Flint can fit into every day workflows. No code needed! Two weeks after rolling agents out to existing customers, 60% of those who turned them on are using them daily. AI at work is now a multiplayer experience.8d ago6.0K1000120.22%
We should own the model. We should own the harness. And we should own the data. These are the key points we should appreciate as AI becomes a much more foundational part of every day life. We cannot let a few giant companies control it. @digitalocean and @NVIDIAAI are hosting the Open Intelligence Summit today at 4:00 pm ET / 1:00 pm PT. I recommend tuning in. I will be. 😎9d ago6.0K602010.15%
Fed's Williams comes through with the dovish take: > I still believe disinflationary forces are at play. > This is not an economy that is overheating. > No sign the labor market is contributing to inflation. > One more interest-rate hike appropriate this year.9d ago6.0K933000.25%
Testing a big resistance area at $200 on $PLTR. There's a large amount of calls that generally acts like a wall near-term. If we end up breaking above on a closing basis that's bullish for continuation. https://t.co/v0tcC1swzGfrozen14d ago5.9K805000.22%
Most of the time a model spends answering you, it isn’t doing math. It’s waiting on memory. Prefill is compute-bound. Read the prompt, all at once. Decode is often one token at a time, limited by bandwidth rather than FLOPs, and adding compute doesn’t move the dial. That split is the product: >GPUs take prefill. >@positron_ai’s memory-first chips take decode, without leaning on scarce HBM. >One endpoint, one contract. Faster inference, which drives a better customer experience and more productive workloads. Atlas ships through @general_compute from Q1 2027. Heterogeneous compute has been a slide in every infra deck. Now it’s a reality and the results speak for themselves. 🦾 https://t.co/Xvk9UoWH2M2d ago5.9K501020.13%

Jumping through hoops to buy something, get help or book an appointment is an unnecessarily painful experience. 🤬 But it shouldn't be. Businesses can provide a better experience and that earns more customer loyalty. In a mobile first world that means making texting even easier and more helpful. Blandie is Bland’s SMS agent. The demo’s live today. Text any business’s website to +1 (415) 481-7537 and it texts back as that business. A branded, verified line with an agent behind it. > It pulls prices, hours and policies live from the business’s own site. > Blandie can open the page in a real browser and text you a screenshot of what it found. > It can even book the appointment and take the payment mid-conversation. Every customer finally gets their personal concierge.7d ago5.9K300000.05%
Insight Partners was a Qualitate customer before it led the company’s Series A. Most funds meet a company at the pitch. Insight met it as a customer. Qualitate runs AI-led interviews with vetted experts, and what they say lands in a knowledge graph. You can ask whether open-weight models are taking market share from frontier labs, and the answer comes from the interviews instead of a deck someone built last quarter. $25M. Run-rate up 10x this year. 100+ customers. A million minutes of interviews so far. Nobody had to schedule one.2d ago5.8K411020.14%
We hand agents our code, our research, our errands. But we don't give them our credit card number because we know that can get leaked. That insecurity creates friction, slowing us down. > Agent Vault, from @Selfxyz, launches today. > Your agent checks out with a placeholder token, worthless outside an authorized session. > The real card number never enters its context. It works with logins and other sensitive info, too. It gets swapped in as needed, but out of the agent’s view. Agent Vault works with Grok Bot, Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes, and Muse. Switching agents doesn’t mean starting over either. Your settings stay. The agent gets the task. You keep your info secure. Another source of friction gets removed. This is what winning looks like. 🦾7d ago5.7K700000.12%
DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 is the #3 open model on @DesignArena. 🔥🐳 I feel it every time I use it for design-related tasks, too. It's much more detail-oriented than the last checkpoint, producing better aesthetics and cohesion. https://t.co/0MqkhvxHaw2d ago5.7K501000.11%
Planning time off has turned into a second job. We’re the travel agent, the reservationist and the points analyst. It's exhausting. The weekend goes unplanned, the points sit there unused and the trip never gets booked. But that's changing now. @OdessiaTravel is a concierge you text like a friend, no app needed. It books, it doesn’t just recommend. You text what you want and it comes back done: the flight, the table, the tickets. It’s an accredited travel agent, so it books at agent rates and can use your points. It keeps watching after you ask, too. The sold-out table opens up or the fare drops, and it has already taken action on your behalf. This is what we've always wanted from AI. To have it do the things we don't want to do. 😎 https://t.co/YZx5GjtT8K8d ago5.7K602010.16%
Specialized models are making a big splash right now. Why? Because they outshine the generalist models for their use cases by miles. Today's specialized model that has me genuinely impressed is Vyb. It's a design model, not an image model. Point it at your website and it pulls your logo, fonts and exact colors. The model learns about your branding and preferences. Vyb uses that information to elevate taste, meaning you aren't making tons of images and hoping the right one randomly appears in the mix. Instead you gain consistency, quality and an optimized workflow that saves you time while delivering better results. The private beta just opened and it's letting a few people in at a time. Perfect spot for a nice bounce in $S from support. After the selling across small and midcap tech, a lot of diamonds in the rough emerged. This is one that I think has a lot of upside potential AI + cybersecurity as tailwinds. https://t.co/dA0o8KB9mT1d ago5.3K400000.08%
A question about a company can depend on its subsidiaries, a previous transaction, or a note filed under a different name. Search the company’s name alone and you miss it. Headless Hebbia, out today: an API and an MCP server that map those relationships, so the answers land in your own apps, or in Claude and ChatGPT. Every claim links back to its source. The big promise of AI was to let the machines do the things that we humans didn't want to do. AI has helped us with work, but we hadn't seen the help around the house we were hoping for quite yet. That's changing with Voxel, Tuesday Labs’ new home robot, and a gentleman in training. Four jobs at launch: >reset the room >fetch what you ask for >find what you lost >tend to the plants. One day, the morning coffee and the family laundry too. 🙂 Voxel ships in 2028. The first 999 Series-1 units are numbered in reservation order, and just $200 reserves one for you. I've been telling you all that Anthropic has some serious risks ahead. One of them is concentration risk. Two customers make up 25% of the company's sales, and those same customers are weening themselves off of Claude. Meanwhile, Anthropic has no durable competitive advantage. Models will be commoditized. That's why they are fighting to get regulatory capture by spreading misinformation about risks from other models.17d ago3.7K1313100.49%

We know that the advance of AI is a double-edged sword for security. It both helps us defend against attacks, but also makes sophisticated far attacks easier. > Roughly 700 agents attacked Hugging Face for four and a half days, logging about 17,600 actions. > Most went nowhere. > Four minor weaknesses later, they held 136 production keys. Swarms don’t stop where humans do. Cogent Research found agent-only attack paths run at least twice as deep, and the average enterprise gained 34 of them in August, up 386% year over year. Cogent’s Attack Path Analysis maps those chains across cloud, on-prem, identity, and code, confirms every hop with evidence, and finds the chokepoint: the one change that severs the path.frozen14d ago3.5K402010.20%
