This video is going Viral everywhere. A trillionaire and a pile of billionaires are unable to answer a simple question about regular laptop jobs in the near future. Darios head gesture at the 30-36 second mark is so telling… But why these people struggle so hard to communicate this clearly is beyond me. It should be the number one PR training they spend time on. When I get asked this question (it happens daily at this point) I more and more tend to say the ugly truth. It’s going to get hard before it gets better. If anything there will be a short burst of increased demand for some workforce labor. While a massive shift is at the same time taking place throughout the white collar workforce. The “laptop jobs” as it were. This will be a turbulent time, where many people will face perhaps the hardest time in their working career, and being quick to adopt and change will be paramount for survival. Be nimble on your feet. Be okey with a 180 change in your career. Elon is effectively communicating one thing tho, jobs have ALWAYS changed, but what he leaves out and he is fully aware of, is that, never this fast. That’s the true challenge. We’re at a moment in time, where a select few have access to super powers that can topple any existing business if given focus. current ways are already old. that’s how fast things are moving. Demis Hassabis has been saying for a few years now, that the age of intelligence will bring about a disruption to the workforce that’s about 10x that of the industrial revolution at about 1/10th of the time. Putting it on a 100x more likely disruption compared to the industrial revolution. Was the industrial revolution kind the to people living through it? absolutely NOT. Did humanity benefit immensely from it afterwards, absolutely YES. If you are not living under a rock, or a deserted island, you will most certainly already started to feel the ground shifting underneath your feet. Starting a 5 year education plan to become a lawyer right now might not be the most effective way to secure your future. But spending 5 years deeply understanding physics might be a better way to spend your time. If what Elon et al is alluding to will become true, UHI or UBI, the entire notion of work disappears. Poof, gone. The US might be the singular entity where this will be the hardest to swallow, given just how deeply rooted the work culture is. What will people do? I feel the east, and europe to some degree will have a much easier transition to work less and less, gradually at first, abruptly at the end. We know how to do nothing and be fine with it. But the road to this abundance won’t be a straight line. it will most likely be free fall into the abyss, where at the very last second, the parachute will deploy for most and it will be a soft touch down. But not for all. that’s the brutal truth. so to conclude It will be way worse before it gets better23d ago442K3.7K429409962.7K1.67%

Insane, China just built a 3000km green wall thats visible from space 🤯 China has been geo-engineering its Taklamakan Desert for many decades now. In an effort to combat desertification. It has now completed its entre engulfing of the Tarim Basin. In late 2025 the 3,046-kilometer (1,892-mile) continuous "green belt" that completely encircles the Taklamakan Desert is complete. This perimeter is designed to act as a massive containment buffer, pinning down shifting dunes and preventing the desert from swallowing up expanding farmland, roads, and cities. To successfully grow plants in an environment that receives less than 11 millimeters of rain a year, China utilizes heavy machinery to level massive sand dunes before setting up checkerboard grass grids to anchor the sand. They have deployed thousands of kilometers of advanced subterranean drip irrigation lines. Additionally, localized eco-infrastructure projects, like the Tarim Desert Highway cutting right through the middle of the desert, and it's completely lined with millions of trees powered entirely by automated, solar-powered water pumps I reckon that Chinas end goal here is to ultimately regenerate the entire Tarim Basin, even if it will take them 200+ years to do so. Geo engineering at this scale is not so crazy when you think about it, we casually farm about 37% to 38% of all of earth's available land, this means that some form of heavy machinery will cross all of that land MULTIPLE times per year. What's unique here, is turning something that's dry and "dead" into a vital part of the eco-system, and creating perhaps one of the largest man made carbon sinks of the future.frozen7d ago229K1.9K194101242371.06%

My kids skate teacher asked if I could help him with a mini-ramp design. Things quickly got out of control. Let me present, PLY 🛹 Grounded in real-world constraints, materials, and common sizes used in ramp building - I've put together a tool that allows you to not only make a mini-ramp with construction ready plans. BUT infinte ENTIRE skate parks. PLY is truly nuts. I got hyper good performance at 120fps, all browser based, EU/US standards, full BOM, Cutlist, material optimisation and use of off-cuts. Integration with stores like Home Depot and Beijer (gives you an up to date price estimate for your build) based on total material needed. It even estimates how many screws you need, and what types of screws. All down to a +-2.5% margin. Everything is parametric, everything locks into grids based on material constraints (you can detach for bespoke aspects) any orientation, 15 degree banks, 45 degree bowls. But grounded in what can be done with the material you buy. Not only does it output printable PDF, with step by step assembly like it was LEGO. It also creates 3D visuals and step by step 3D assembly guides you can play on your phone or tablet (yes even computer). Per section, or/and ofcourse your entire park. The example below shows a park with elevated floor, but you have ground connectors aswell. So you can make freestanding quarters, roll in ramps, spines, boxes, pyramids, rails, stairs... Even draw your own custom components and save them to your own library. mm, cm, inches, feet, everything is dynamic and you can switch between settings in real-time. Park fly-throughs, assembly timelapses... BUT that's not all, when done, you can also... skate the damn thing. IN THE ACTUAL BROWSER 🤯 So what started as an ask for my kids skate teacher, is now turning into a full CAD/GAME for creating skate parks, based on real-world material constraints. There is so much left to sort out, for example, CONCRETE, yeah, we're doing it. Being able to smoothly shape concrete, calculate the needed volume, rebar, sand, filling material, drainage, slopes, anti-crack lines. Coping molding. If people are not yet getting it, AI assisted development, is absolutely flipping software upside down and inside out. I've not touched a single line of code. none. zero. When it's ready for you to try, I'll share the link. Until then this video will have to do + some more examples below. yo fam, this Opus 5.5 LEGO is wild LEGO should legit create a bricks API. I know we’ve got BrickLink. But LEGO could open up a whole new massive business vertical here. Imagine being able to hook this up to an official LEGO API, where you can order whatever you can dream up. LEGO then packs your specific built to order box, and charge per brick with a small premium. Absolutely absurd what could come out of this. @LEGO_Group should pay attention.frozen28d ago113K337242451550.48%

The biggest mistake in AI education is automating the part where the child learns. The questions. The wrong turns. The “wait, let me try again.” That’s the part gakku is built around. @gakkuai helps kids aged 6-16 practice writing, speaking and thinking through live conversations with Raku, its AI learning companion. What interests me from a product-design perspective is what happens when the child changes their mind. Having small kids myself, I know this happens a lot. A learner can interrupt, revise an idea or make a choice on screen. Raku has to adapt while keeping the conversation, visuals and mission progress in sync. The interface becomes part of the thinking. Ideas take shape on screen, and the child’s choices shape what happens next. That’s a much more interesting design problem than generating a good reply. The system has to follow the learner’s intent, remember what came before and decide when to ask, act or wait. For me, the design challenge is knowing how much help to give. Too little and the child gets stuck. Too much and the system takes over the decisions they need to practice making. The child still has to explain, choose and revise. The interesting bet here: the time spent thinking is the value of the product. When AI can generate almost any answer, helping someone develop their own becomes a lot more interesting. Currently trying this with my 6yo at home, will report back on how it goes.2d ago65K67203718490.29%

I wrote a custom 3D physics engine and WebGL2 renderer from scratch in Rust that runs in the browser via WebAssembly. 0 external math crates. 0 physics libraries. <100KB .wasm binary at 120 FPS. Here’s how the entire architecture fits together in ~1,200 lines of Rust. I've had the opportunity to play around with Gemini 4 Argon for the past couple of weeks. I could not help myself, but I wanted to see what it could do. I know there are lot of really cool projects around, that are super polished and amazing. However, I wanted to make something a bit more raw. So I tasked Argon with building a 3D engine that includes a physics engine out of the box. While try to keeping it light weight. The result, IMPULSE. Instead of pulling in Rapier or Bullet, everything is solved from first principles at 120Hz (2 substeps/frame): → Analytical world-space inverse inertia tensors (R * I_local^-1 * R^T) → 15-axis Separating Axis Theorem (SAT) for OBB-OBB manifolds → Iterative sequential impulses + Baumgarte stabilization → 3 X 3 effective mass matrix K^-1 for ball-and-socket & catenary bridge joints We skipped wgpu for raw web-sys WebGL2 to keep compile times instant and the binary tiny: → Two-pass 2048x2048 depth shadow map with 3x3 PCF → Procedural unit meshes + local-space rotational stripes → Screen-to-world ray unprojection for 3D mouse spring dragging → Toggleable AABB & contact normal wireframe pass In my stress tests, I'll throw 500+ rigid bodies, including light and shadows, all WebGL. I should turn this into a benchmark for all models going forward, because it's truly amazing. My goal was to create an engine that is super light weight and that I can use in other projects. The entire engine so far weighs only 82.7 KB Should I drop the GitHub repo + live playable link?frozen9d ago30K876112540.53%
AI Company: Takes to long to get compute online NVIDIA: Hold my beer, here you go, DSX POD. This is a big deal, when building out compute right now, the costs are astronomical, $50bn for a 1GW compute cluster. But the opportunity costs are even higher, that 1GW cluster is set to generate $40bn a year in revenues. If you are delayed or it takes just 3 months to get operational, you're currently missing out on $10bn in lost revenue opportunity. NVIDIA is trying to solve this, by creating these super computers that are packaged into a 40 foot container. It comes self-contained with closed-loop cooling running on "warm" water (45 celcius) and evaporators on top that does not expel the water from the loop. saving 100% of water needs. Yes and No these won't run GTA6, I'm sorry. But they do boil eggs if you ask nicely. To quote my friend @twominutepapers — What a time to be alive!!1d ago28K532423292203.02%
This new device is what Apple should have released. Apple have clearly failed at reading the room when it comes to dedicated music players. People want to disconnect from their phones, but not from their music. Building an offline+Streaming device, that does one thing really well, playing music is goated. I'm not sure where this will go, but my feed is full of people putting down pre-orders for this. It most likely won't come at the build quality of an Apple device, but one can hope it gets close. The new era of bespoke hardware is truly here. Modretro as a gift at Devday, Freckle phone, and now this. We're in some wild times. Have a great day, and see you on the interwebs. This time-thief game should be illegal 🤬 Fantasy RTS game "Keepsweeper" in the style of Minesweeper is keeping me from going to sleep, seriously so addictive. A game developer spent 4 years building a game, flew half-way around the world to Japan to market it. BUT then on the flight back home he decided to make a RTS game just for fun. To stay distracted. On the long flight. Little did he know, but Keepsweeper is now getting more attention than the game he flew to Japan to market in the first place. The game is so much fun, casual, and a great example of what "just for fun" can lead too. Follow your passion. Not all hands need 5 fingers. Boston Dynamics just killed the pinky. Atlas’ new hand has 4 fingers, 13 degrees of freedom, tactile sensing, and enough dexterity to use drills, grinders, nail guns and welding torches. Why no fifth finger? They literally taped engineers’ pinkies to their ring fingers for a day to see if they’d miss it. Verdict: more complexity, more cost, more things to break. Not enough upside. This feels like an important shift in robotics: → capable of useful task, including tool use → strong and rugged, for industrial, logistics env → minimal cross-embodiment to human demonstration → cleanly simulated for synthetic data gen → mass manufactured and repairability at low cost Stop asking, “How human can we make the robot?” Start asking, “What’s the minimum hardware required to do human work?” Very much inline with Elon's constant yapping about the best part is no part. Which could not be more close to the truth here. The goal isn’t a perfect robotic hand. It’s a hand that can get shit done. Designers now have a lot of new surfaces to consider: - iPhone Duo - Meta VR Glasses - Agentic use - Audio - Tamagotchis To orchestrate a brand across all existing surfaces + everything new. All while the tools, tasks, workflows are in hyper flux is the most exciting times ever to touch design. I recently visited California, and I had not booked a place to stay. I gave my agent an address I wanted to be within 2miles of. I tasked it to look up all sorts of sites, booking, hotels, lastminute, airbnb, kayak. The second request was to make sure it kept within budget, and that whatever it decided to put infront of me was actually available. The deliverable, a little website, with all the things it found, with some simple filters, distance from adress, price (all inclusive, tax, cleaning fee etc) I did not trust the agent to book me a place just yet. But trusted it enough to build me that website. That solidified my confidence in that everything will become a data layer. Because I don’t really care for certain utilities, but the counter point I’m also pretty confident about is that brand will matter more than ever. In a world where everyone can get an optimized result for their current need. People will long for to be surprised and delighted. Thus world class brands will thrive at the same time we will have pure magic experience at our fingertips. Learning how to compose and maintain a strong and clean brand across all surfaces will be paramount. What do you think, will brands still matter in 10 years?frozen28d ago7.9K2029080.49%

A little over 2.5 years ago, we tried to do the same as Ghost. But the technology was not there yet. I’m very happy for the team over at Ghost, and just as with the PC revolution, I’m very bullish on a local compute machine at home. I think we will see an absolute explosion of hardware companies entering the “home compute” space, and it will become a lot of aesthetics and function. Our approach to the cube, was to have a premium device, in your living room, inspired by the Bang Olufsen of the past. A device that would not only run local compute at breakneck speeds and private, but also deliver premium voice first interactions. While being accessible seamlessly across all your device surfaces. Also having the ability to offload to cloud based API’s when needed. The future is private AI compute at home.frozen16d ago7.9K351151120.81%

Elon Musk stated on the Q3 2026 earnings call that SpaceX expects annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $500 billion to $1 trillion by the end of 2027 🤯 This is company guidance from the live webcast, not external analyst consensus. Management also indicated they remain on track for roughly $100 billion ARR by the end of 2026 (defined as December annualized revenue) and guided Q1 2027 total revenue to $33–37 billion. Starlink Connectivity generated $5.2B with 69% growth and 13.6M subscribers, while the Space segment added $1.8B including the first revenue Starship launch deploying 26 V3 satellites. A concrete milestone mentioned is a single 440,000-GPU Vera Rubin training cluster targeted to be operational by the end of Q2 2027. Broader estimates for the full 2027 expansion put the total number of Vera Rubin GPUs potentially in the 1–2 million range, though SpaceX has not published an official unit count. Orbital compute (Starmind) is also planned to use space-optimized Vera Rubin NVL72 systems, with the first launch targeted for Q4 2027 and scale-up in 2028. Elon is locked in. Tesla is ramping up production lines of optimus. It's been quiet around Optimus for some time. Probably for good reasons. In its latest proxy statement, employee equity awards are now directly tied to the factory roll out of Optimus. As spotted on the new roadster, the Optimus actuators are production ready, they are already controlling aero surfaces on the hypercar, as well as valves on the COPV tanks. What has been clear since day one, and hopefully not missed on anyone is that Optimus is a walking FSD car. Using the knowledge in making a 4 wheeled (car) robot drive on its own, will be paramount for making Optimus generalise and roam freely in the world to. The packaging makes all the sense in the world. Stack: Battery tech → Tesla deeptech (core drivetrain) Actuators → Optimus driven (Tesla, SpaceX derived) World awareness → Tesla FSD (vision only) Cognitive brain → Grok Bot (Cursor) Making sure that employees are incentives to push for the next transition internally is all the signal we need on Optimus, and I'm expecting more public updates soon.3d ago7.0K47113060.95%

Using camera tracking or WUJI Glove, it maps your movements to its 20 independently actuated joints. The same hand can also manipulate objects on its own. With reinforcement learning in mjlab, WUJI trains it in simulation to spin a pen between its fingers and turn a cube in its grasp. Elorian’s first model, Glimpse, is built for Visual Thinking. Ask it questions about images and video, and it reasons through what it sees. How many monkeys can you count? The part I’m interested in: being able to dig into footage. What changed? Why did that happen? What is the robot doing at each step? If it can do all that reliably, robotics data labeling changes entirely. Most teleop footage sits unlabelled because segmenting every step by hand is slow and expensive. A model that watches the clip and writes the labels itself turns that backlog into training data. Feels like there’s a lot to build here. cc @ElorianAI @AndrewDaifrozen6d ago6.7K23380110.67%
