Breaking down my +$133,772 $PONS trade For some reason, this trade provoked reactions Some people openly celebrated me, whilst others called me lucky and belittled me The truth is, both skill and luck were involved From my POV the most important factor which contributed to the success of this was my time in the market This isn’t the first time I’ve top-blasted a coin with size, and last time I did I actually lost $20K almost instantly Looking back I believe that’s part of the reason why I was able to do it with so much confidence and no emotions I’ve been in crypto long enough to know that opportunities like Pons don’t come about everyday, so the topblast was intentional, and I was willing to lose my initial investment if it went badly because the probability for upside was much higher I’m a thesis trader, always have been and it’s worked well for me, most notably during the Virtuals AI agents meta in late 2024 and my Uranium/nuclear calls I tend to form my thesis around the following: ecosystem, potential future catalysts, macro market conditions, project/company growth, trader psychology When I spotted Pons, these all aligned Robinhood had launched ~1 month prior and volume was steadily increasing; Pons was already making considerable revenue and had buybacks in place; market participants wanted an underdog launchpad to bet on after Pump Now here’s the key – I acted fast I first started paying attention to $PONS around $70M, then waited about 12h before sizing in at $90M I didn’t question my instincts, I trusted myself enough to know that I had spotted a gem that could at the very least give me 20% profit Even when it climbed all the way up to $950M, I trusted myself enough to know when to hold and when to take profit I held for 16 days, until the thesis I held had run its course I sold a little on the way up and then fully exited around the top when I noticed signs that the narrative started cooling down and traders were going to start looking for a rotation (which was $STONK) It doesn’t happen everyday but from time to time the stars align and you need to take a swingfrozen11d ago6.1K1831068094.39%
